Inspiring Unity In Our City

Underground tells the history and heroics of the Underground Railroad, a story of White and Black people coming together to work toward freedom, justice and equality.

“Without a doubt one of the most vivid, heartfelt, and theatrically astute
pieces of dance theatre ever to grace a Kansas City Stage.”

- Kansas City Star

In a time of racial unrest and unease, Störling's Underground is relevant,
and sheds light on an unconscionable, unforgettable time in history…A must see!

- KC Metropolitan

The Go Underground Coalition began as a group of businesses, churches and individuals that support the work of reconciliation in our city. The Coalition has merged with the efforts of Unite KC! Follow the link below to find out more about this wonderful effort.

Go Underground seeks to lead our community toward positive, hopeful solutions. The program provides a discussion curriculum based on themes from the show to engage people of diverse backgrounds and unite communities across racial divides.

“Go Underground has been a game-changer for our congregation. For two years in a row we have partnered with an African American church in our community to experience this marvelous and important performance. We have followed this up with real conversations that have led to a real friendship. Underground not only stirs our souls, it has been the catalyst for real change in our relationships. “

Westside Family Church
